1. Remove rear fascia – Using a flat head screwdriver, remove (6) plastic
push rivets, (4) located on the underside of the fascia and (2) in the wheel
wells. Open the hatch and remove the (2) screws located near the brake
light. Trim fascia according to figure 4.
3. Remove heat shield – Using a 10mm socket, remove (4) screws
holding heat shield(s) to vehicle. NOTE: vehicles with dual exhaust require
the removal of both heat shields.

2. Lower muffler – Using the exhaust removal pliers, lower muffler by
removing the (4) rearmost rubber hangers. There are (2) hangers for each
exhaust and (1) in the middle of the car. Note: A spray of lubricant on
rubber hangers makes them slide off metal pins more easily. NOTE: Be
careful that exhaust is supported before removing rubber hangers.
4. Remove rubber plugs - Using a flat screw driver, remove (4) rubber
plugs from the holes in the bottom of the frame, return plugs to customer.
