WARNING
Note: This range hood must be properly grounded.
The unit should be installed by a qualified electrician
in accordance with all applicable national and local
electrical codes.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance must be grounded. In the event of an
electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of
electric shock by providing an escape wire for the
electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord
containing a grounding wire and grounding plug. The
plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly
installed and grounded.
WARNING - Improper grounding can result in a risk of
electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician if the grounding instructions
are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether
the appliance is properly grounded.
Do not use an extension cord. If the power supply cord is too
short, have a qualified electrician install an outlet near the
appliance.
Set up the electrical power supply within the space covered by
the decorative flues.
Position the power socket at a maximum distance of 33-7/16"
(85 cm) from where the lead exits from the hood
(see illustration alongside).
Make sure this does not interfere with the decorative flues
(where the flue touches the wall.)
Insert the plug into the power socket.
LEVELING DEVICE
When mounting hood on the wall, the level can be adjusted
by turning the two screws on the motor housing.
INSTALLATION ALTERNATIVES
The rangehood can be installed in the following ways:
Circulating indoor air (A)
Outdoor venting (B)
B
REMEMBER!
If turns or transitions are required: Install as far away from
duct opening and as far apart between the two transitions
as possible.
Minimum mount height between range top to hood bottom
should be no less than 26".
Maximum mount height should be no higher than 34".
It is important to install the hood at the proper mounting
height . Being mounted too low could result in heat damage
and fire hazard; while being mounted too heigh will be
hard to reach and will affect performance and efficiency.
If a two-part connection tube is used, the lower section must
sit outside the upper section.
Do not connect the rangehood exhaust to a duct used to
circulate hot air or vent steam from another appliance.
Always use protective gloves when installing the appliance.
