FIELD OF APPLICATION/OF OPERATION
•
Use the appliance for domestic purposes only and in the way indicated in these
instructions.
•
This appliance is intended to be used for domestic applications and similar
applications such as:

Kitchen
environments,

Farms,
-
The use by clients of hotels, motels, B&B's and other residential
environments,
BEFORE USING THE TOASTER FOR THE FIRST TIME
In order to eliminate any manufacturing residues, operate the toaster a couple of times
without bread with the browning control selector on a medium power level. Some smoke
might escape.
OPERATION
•
Before using your appliance for the first time, check if it is clean (see Maintenance
and cleaning section of this manual) and if any object hasn't fallen into the slot.
•
Connect the appliance only to a mains earthed wall socket.
•
Place the bread slices in the slot : your appliance can toast French bread or bread
slices if their thickness and their length are shorter than the slot.
•
Press down the bread carriage handle until it stops : the toasting begins.
If the handle won't stay in the lower position : check if the appliance is plugged in.
•
You can adjust the heat intensity with the browning control selector (1 to 6 stages).
•
You can stop the toasting by pressing the cancel button.
•
The reheat button starts a shorter heating program.
•
The defrost button allows you to toast frozen bread.
•
Unplug after use and let the appliance cool down before cleaning and storage.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
•
Make sure the toaster is unplugged and fully cooled down.
•
To remove bread crumbs slide the crumb tray situated on the side of the appliance.
Caution : It is very important to empty the crumb tray regularly.
•
Never use sharp or metallic objects to clean.
•
To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe the housing with a soft damp cloth.
Caution : do not let water drip inside the toaster and never immerse in water !
•
All other maintenance and repair should be performed by a qualified technician (*) :
No guarantee claims will be accepted if the appliance has been opened or
damaged previously.
