4. Drain Installation–Style B
- Disassemble the drain components.
- Remove the protective material from the flange.
- Apply a ring of plumbers putty or other sealant to the underside of
the flange.
- Assemble the nut, washer and gasket fully onto the drain body. Do
not fully tighten the nut at this time.
- Insert the drain body up into the underside of the drain hole.
- Position the body so the seal hole faces the back of the lavatory.
- Thread the flange onto the drain body from the top of the lavatory.
- Ensure the seal hole is facing the back of the lavatory and fully
tighten the nut.
- Remove any excess putty or sealant.
- Insert the stopper into the flange.
- Assemble the nylon friction washer and rubber washer onto the
short end of the rod. Assemble the nylon friction washer, wave
washer and nut onto the long end of the rod.
