Micrófono supercardioide

Publicidad

ONE-DIRECTIONAL RECEIVING OF SOUNDS
This microphone features a supercardioid directivity curve. As can be
seen from the polar diagram shown below, sensitivity reaches its peak for
sounds originating from in front of the microphone, decreasing as the
angle of incidence of the sounds increases. Sensitivity is at its lowest
when the angle of incidence reaches 140°/150°. This property gives rise
to high levels of useful signals, without interference from surrounding
sounds or noises, and to effective prevention of electro-acoustic
feedback (Larsen effect).
POSITIONING THE MICROPHONES
In order to function, the MC250 microphone requires an 11 to 52 V
phantom power supply from a microphone input with a XLR-F type
socket. Generally speaking, PASO amplifiers will provide this type of
power supply (it is in any case necessary to investigate this, and to refer
to the user manuals of the equipment concerned to ensure that
connection is possible and for the relevant procedures). The usual
position for this microphone is on a desktop or on a church altar, mounted
onto a base. It is also possible to use the microphone to pick up choir
music, using floor-stands combined with rods. If it is used as a hand-held
microphone, it should be remembered to use the anti-hissing device
included in the supply. If there are any loudspeakers in the room, never
position the microphone in front of them. Always install the microphone
behind or to one side of the speaker units, outside the coverage angle of
the units, so as to avoid electroacoustic feedback (Larsen effect) from the
speakers. This makes it possible to exploit in full the sensitivity and the
quality of reproduction of the microphones.
