MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION: The pre-filter basket (4), when present, must be periodically emptied and cleaned. A dirty or clogged basket
decreases pump performance.
Cleaning the frame
1. Turn off the pump by disconnecting it from the electric network.
2. Close any valves that are present.
3. Unscrew the transparent cover (5) of the pre-filter (2).
4. Remove the frame (4), empty it and carefully clean it.
5. Insert the frame again (4) inside the pre-filter (2).
6. Tightly fasten the transparent cover (4) of the pre-filter making sure that the OR gasket (3) is intact and correctly
positioned in its proper housing.
7. Open any valves that are present.
8. Start the pump by connecting it to the electric network.
ATTENTION: Should the pump turn off because the thermal breaker is triggered, disconnect the pump from the electric
network and then dismantle the differential safety switch. Check whether the rotor turns freely as indicated in fig.4. If the
rotor is blocked follow the steps described in the MALFUNCTION chapter. If the motor shaft turns freely, mount the
differential safety switch and activate the pump by connecting it to the electric network; when the motor has cooled down
the pump will begin to run again.
If the thermal breaker should be triggered again frequently, have the pump checked by qualified personnel and make sure
also the domestic electric network is inspected.
ATTENTION: If the pump is blocked it must be cleaned! Repeated attempts at starting a blocked pump cause irreparable
damage. In this case the warranty is no longer valid.
ATTENTION: All extraordinary maintenance (replacement of mechanical gaskets, etc.) must be carried out by qualified
personnel.
WINTER STORAGE
In winter the pump must be stored in a cool, dry place. If there is the risk of freezing, the pump must be carefully emptied
from the liquids in its circuit. It is advisable to empty all the piping.
MALFUNCTIONING
A mechanical gasket is used to isolate the pump body and the motor body. Some drops of water may flow out once in a
while – this is normal, especially after periods of non use.
If the leaks are consistent contact the assistance center.
ATTENTION: After a long period of inactivity check that the motor shaft turns freely. (Fig. 4). If the fan has difficulty in
rotating or is jammed follow these steps:
1. disconnect the pump from the electric network;
2. manually turn the rotor for 9-10 rotations using a screwdriver as shown in Fig. 4.
3. connect the pump to the electric network and start it.
If the pump does not run contact the assistance centre.
