INSTALLATION

On receipt of the welder, verify the perfect integrity of the outer
package; communicate to a responsible in charge possible
anomalies which should be noticed. Possible damages on the
outer package should arise some doubts on the integrity of its
content. Remove the package and visually verify the welder
integrity. Check that the welder is equipped with all the standard
components; immediately inform the manufacturer in case some
components should lack. All the material forming the package must
be removed according to the present environmental protection
regulations.

PNEUMATIC INSTALLATION

For a correct compressed air supply to the welder, it is necessary
either a centralised system or a compressor capable of supplying
at least 1500 N litres/h of dry air cooled at 6.5 bar (650kP). The
welder must be supplied by means of the air assembly 74 supplied
with the standard accessories. The welder has been assembled
by using components which do not require lubrication. The insertion
of a lubricator in the circuit causes no problems to the welder;
nevertheless, pay attention to the fact that this brings the emission
of oil mist in the environment.
COOLING CIRCUIT INSTALLATION (ONLY ITEMS 7913-
7915)
For a correct cooling of the welder it is necessary 150 l/h clean
water at a maximum temperature of 30°C. When connecting the
unit to the water line check for dirt or packing scraps in the hoses
and connect the supply to the INLET H
that still cool water immediately reaches the parts of the welder
most subject to heating. The lukewarm water cooling the welder
gets out from the OUTLET H
outlet hoses are identified by labels (Fig. 1).

Check that the used liquid is clean. Particles suspended in the
cooling liquid may deposit inside the machine reducing or undoing
the cooling capacity and causing serious damages: capacity
decrease, inadequate cooling, valves and taps obstructions, etc...
For this reason it is always advisable to install a suitable filter on
the machine's supply.
It is possible to carry the cooling circuit system out with both city
supply water and re-circulating water. In the re-circulating water
circuits it is possible to cool the water by means of a water-air
heat exchanger or a refrigerator (chiller). In case of the re-
circulating water circuits, it is advisable to use some antifreeze in
the suitable percentages which, besides protecting the circuit
against freezing, it prevents from scales and improves the thermal
exchange. If the circuit is with city supply or refrigerator and you
are working in presence of high humidity, we suggest avoiding
the use of low temperature water, as this could produce moisture
inside the machine. In presence of hard water it is necessary to
install a water softener at the inlet hose, this to avoid that deposits
obstruct or reduce the water channels in the welder causing
damages. If the machine is operated in a re-circulating water
supply, the water softener must be placed before the supply of
the tank containing the cooling water.
