General information
Hoesch products set the benchmark for quality, comfort and design. To assure optimal function and a long life cycle
of your product please comply with the following instructions. Each delivery is strictly controlled before leaving
the factory. Check the completeness of the delivery before starting installation. Products represented here are subject
to technical and visual modifi cations! All dimensions data is in mm. All connection measures are internal measurements!
We are not liable for defects resulting from non-conventional usage, improper transport or faulty intermediate storage.
Our respectively valid warranty conditions are in force.

The choice of raw plug and screws depends upon the wall's material!

Water connections
At installation to potable water supply plumbers or users must connect fi rst a safety device complying with
national requirements.
Wall joints must be sealed with non-hardening joint sealing. The device mus be fl ushed with water according to
DIN 1988. For domestic installation a dirt trap shall be provided by the user.
Floor drain DN 50. Floor drain - connecting pipes DN 50.

Thasos
Hot water connection DN 15/20 connecting angle Rp ½", recommended fl ow pressure: 200-500 kPa, 60-70°C .
Cold water connection DN 15/20 connecting angle Rp ½", recommended fl ow pressure: 200-500 kPa.

Ciela
Mixed water connection DN 15/20 inner thread Rp ½", fl ush to side, recommended fl ow pressure: 200-500 kPa.

Setting up room for shower tray and shower enclosure

During planning, allow for all sanitary and water connections in accordance with the planning guidelines in Ciela,
page 21 and Thasos, page 25.
■
Floor drainage access lines DN 50. Must be installed.
■
At shower enclosure installation a distance of min. 100 mm above the shower enclosure to the ceiling must be
assured.
■
The rainfall shower head is designed for installation on brick walls. Strengthen other wall constructions (wood,
plasterboard) to ensure that it is safely mounted.
■
Please note that in the shower enclosure area only appropriate materials for wall covering must be used. A
ground surface treatment according to moisture stress class FKB 2 is required.
■
Before installation the walls must be completely tiled at the entire cabin hight.
■
A ventilation as well as suffi cient air dehumidifi cation in the installation room are to be ensured. If necessary,
please apply a suitable ventilation appliance for water vapour dissipation in a controllable manner (DIN 18017,
DIN 1946 etc.).
