Check that the voltage of the battery in the vehicle corresponds to that of the warning light.
Choose where the light is to be installed and the best route for the cables. Note that the rubber gasket
should be placed in the position indicated on the enclosed figure, taking into account that the drain tap
should coincide with the cavity of the closing system.
Use 1,5 mm2 cable for both positive and the negative. Take the positive from the battery terminal or
from a good current source nearby.
Protect the installation with a fuse close to the current source. The nominal current of the fuse will
depend on the voltage :
For 12V installation protect with 8 amp fuse
For 24V installation protect with 4 amp fuse
The positive cable will be connected to the red insulated terminal. The negative to the terminal connected
to the chassis. In both cases use the faston terminals provided.
The base can be fixed to the roof of the vehicle by means of self-tapping screws or by means of M6 screws
( not supplied ).
a) Type "A" installation ( Mounting with self-tapping screws ):
Identify the three holes in the base which correspond to the self-tapping screws.
Use the rubber gasket as a template for the drilling.
Before carrying out the drilling verify once again the position of the light and check that on both sides of
the panel to be drilled there are no objects which could be damaged.
Use a 5 mm diameter bit for drilling for the screws and a 9 mm bit for the grommet.
b) Type "B" installation ( Mounting with screws and M.6 nut ) ( NOT SUPPLIED ):
Identify the three drilling positions in the base which correspond to M6 screws. Remove the lens and the
rotating unit, then place the nuts in their housings. Use the rubber joint as a template for the drilling.
Before carrying out the drilling check once again the position of the light and check that on both sides of
the bodywork to be drilled there are no objects which could be damaged.
Use a 7 mm diameter bit for drilling for the screws and a 9 mm bit for the grommet.
Protect the cutting edges of the panel with the grommet which is enclosed, sealing with silicone to prevent
the entrance of water through the grommet hole.
TUBE MOUNTING ACCORDING TO ISO 4148.
As an option the adaptor for tube mounting can be supplied (BD-015 Ref.8232387). This base comes with
an electrical connector according to ISO 4165.
See tube adaptor assembly instructions.

CHANGING THE LAMP

Remove the lens pressing on the retaining button located on the base of the light, turning the lens to the left
at the same time.
To remove the lamp the steel clip which is retaining it must be removed. It may be necessary to turn the
parabolic reflector to position which allows the clip to slide free. Do not force the rotating mechanism; to turn
the reflector work on the worm. Before removing the clip observe its position. The lower edges of the clip
slide out by means of grooves in the axis. Slide the clip out and remove the bulb. Insert the new lamp and
the clip.
Replace the lens turning it to the right applying a slight pressure to close it.
IMPORTANT
Only user soapy water to clean the dome. Do not use abrasive products which could damage it.
Do not touch the bulb or the reflector with bare hands.
