MAINTENANCE
The profiles and the technical shades require no maintenance. The Plissé and Duette® fabrics
have been treated to make them anti-static. This enables optimum ease of use, where regular
brushing-off should be sufficient to keep them clean. If necessary, most Plissé and Duette® fabrics
can be washed*. Please ask your retailer if the Plissé and Duette® fabric can be washed. Plissé
and Duette® fabrics that cannot be washed may be cleaned by wiping them with a dry cloth.
Proceed as follows:
1. Fold the product up (pleat package closed).
2. Remove the product from the brackets with help of a flat screwdriver.
3. Put the product in water with a temperature of max. 30˚ with a mild-action detergent solution.
4. Let the product soak for 15 minutes.
5. After 15 minutes unfold the product and wash carefully
6. Lift the product with the top rail out of the water and rinse with cold water. Attention: lift
Duette® fabrics two-handedly diagonal out of the water, the water can then directly run out of
the cells. Also rinse the cells from the inside.
7. Pull the pleats up together into a package (as when the product is in a raised position), press
the water out.
8. Mount the product in moist condition in the clips.
9. Leave the product in raised position (pleat package closed) for 12 hours. Do not iron!
If the product is wider than your bath at your disposal, you can clean the fabric with a soft sponge
or have it cleaned by a professional cleaning service.
*) On motor-operated shades, the motor must not come into contact with water! Furthermore
LiteRise® and SmartCord® operated blinds must also not come into contact with water.
