Sample porti ons of rice and water:
For three measuring cups of rice, fi ll water up to the "CUP 3" mark. For four meas-
uring cups of rice, fi ll water up to the "CUP 4" mark.
For fi ve measuring cups of rice, fi ll water up to the "CUP 5" mark.
For six measuring cups of rice, fi ll water up to the "CUP 6" mark.
For seven measuring cups of rice, fi ll water up to the "CUP 7" mark.
For eight measuring cups of rice, fi ll water up to the "CUP 8" mark.
Please note that these are only sample values which can be adapted as desired.
Tip! If the consistency of the rice is sti ll not opti mal, you can adjust the
amount of water as required. More water means soft er rice (up to over-cooking)
and less water results in more solid rice.
6 Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the cooking vessel, lid, steam cooking att achment, measuring cup and the
spatula in warm water. Do not use any strong or aggressive cleaning agents or
scouring agents. Then rinse all the parts thoroughly and allow them to dry ad-
equately. Please wipe the outer body with a clean, damp cloth and then dry it
thoroughly.
Cauti on! Ensure that water does not get into the switching mechanism or onto the
heati ng plate. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
7 Safety instructi ons and liability disclaimer
Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact
with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certi fi ed
for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditi ons. Protect it from high humidity,
water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the de-
vice to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibrati on as this might damage
