It is not designed to vacuum liquids (unless with a liquid separator), plaster or rubble, flammable substances
(such as petrol, solvents, acids etc.) explosive substances such as gunpowder, substances that might
cause explosions when mixed with air, incandescent items such as smouldering pieces of wood or cigarette
butt or toxic substances such as photocopier toner or asbestos. You should not vacuum in an environment
where there is a presence of petrol fumes, solvents or explosive gases. Under no circumstances should
you vacuum without the filter cartridge in place.

6. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING.

Before carrying out any maintenance of the power unit disconnect the electrical supply, put on gloves
and a protective mask and follow all guidelines on safety, hygiene and health.
Using and maintaining your central vacuum unit correctly will ensure that it performs efficiently at an
optimal level and will prolong its working life. Some maintenance and cleaning of the central vacuum
unit is necessary to prevent mechanical failures and ensure the efficient running of the unit.

6.1. MAINTENANCE TO BE CARRIED OUT BY THE USER.

Periodically you should clean the outside of the unit using a damp cloth and neutral soap. Don't start up
the system until the unit is fully dried. Don't use solvents, alcohols or chemicals when cleaning as these
may damage the unit.
Always verify that the filter is in a good condition checking for splits, cracks or tears
before refitting. If any damage or deterioration is found the filter should be replaced
immediately. Never fit a damp or damaged filter in the central vacuum unit.
Unclip the dust container and remove the cyclonic cone before emptying the
ensuring that the handle clamps are correctly aligned with
the base.
