Application
Can be used in conjunction with:
• Pressurised storage heaters
• Thermally controlled instantaneous heaters
• Hydraulically controlled instantaneous heaters
Operation with low-pressure displacement water heaters is not
possible.
Specifications
• Flow pressure
- min.
- recommended
• Operating pressure
• Test pressure
If static pressure is greater than 5 bar, fit pressure reducer.
Avoid major pressure differences between hot and cold water
supply.
• Flow rate at 3 bar flow pressure:
- Shower spray
- Aerator
• Temperature
Hot water inlet (maximum):
Recommended (energy saving):
• Water connection
• Max. clamping length
Note:
All GROHE single-hole mixers with pull-out spouts are equipped
with non-return valves.
Installation
Flush pipes thoroughly.
Mount sink mixer, see fold-out page II, Figs. [1] and [2].
Refer to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
Feed the spray hose (A) through the mixer body from above, see
fold-out page II, Fig. [2].
Note:
If the support plate (B) is omitted, the clamping length can be
increased by 45mm.
Connect sink mixer, see Figs. [2] and [3].
The cold-water supply must be connected on the right and the hot-
water supply on the left.
Connect the spray hose (A), see Figs. [4] to [6].
1. Connect the handspray (C) without using any additional seals,
see Fig. [4].
2. Fit one side of the stop (D) and spring (E) over the spray
hose (A) from below.
3. Pass the end of the spray hose (A) through the other hole in the
stop (D).
4. Install the snap coupling (G) with O-ring (H) on the end of the
spray hose (A).
5. Push the sleeve (J) of the snap coupling (G) downwards and fit
the coupling to the union (K), see Fig. [5].
To ensure that the handspray (C) is correctly seated when inserted,
lug (L) on the outlet must engage in recess on the handspray (M),
see Fig. [6].
Open cold and hot-water supply and check connections for
leakage!
Lever operation
Pull lever
Press lever down
Turn lever right
Turn lever left
Handspray operation, see Fig. [7].
Lift lever (mixer open). The water will always emerge first from the
aerator.
Diverter button:
Press symbol
0.5 bar
Press symbol
1 - 5 bar
max. 10 bar
16 bar
Turning off the mixer automatically diverts the water flow from
handspray to aerator.
Flow rate limiter
approx. 11 l/min
This mixer is fitted out with a flow rate limiter, permitting an infinitely
approx. 13.5 l/min
individual variable reduction of the flow rate.
The highest possible flow rate is set by the factory before despatch.
80 °C
60 °C
The use of flow rate limiters in combination with hydraulic
cold - right
instantaneous water heaters is not recommended.
hot - left
To activate see "replacing the cartridge" point 1 to 4,
max. 60mm
Figs. [8] to [10].
Maintenance
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and grease with
special grease (order no. 18 012).
Shut off cold and hot water supply!
I. Replacing the cartridge
1. Strip lever lower part (N), see Fig. [8].
2. Loosen set screw (O) using a 3mm Allen Key, see Fig. [9]
3. Pull off lever (P).
4. Unscrew cap (R).
5. Remove screws (S) and detach complete cartridge (T).
6. Change the complete cartridge (T).
Assemble in reverse order.
Observe the correct installation position!
Make sure that the cartridge seals engage in the grooves on the
housing. Fit screws (S) and tighten evenly and alternately.
II. Strainer and rose, see Figs. [11] and [12].
1. Unscrew rose (U) using 24mm open-ended or socket spanner,
see Fig. [11].
2. Clean strainer (V) and rose (U), renew strainer if necessary.
3. With SpeedClean nozzles simply rub fingers over rose to remove
limescale, see Fig. [12].
We guarantee that the SpeedClean nozzles will function
unchanged for a period of five years.
Assemble in reverse order.
Replacement parts, see fold-out page I ( * = special accessories).
