HOW TO OPERATE

Before first use, hand wash the Jar and Blades. Wipe down all
surfaces with a non-abrasive, damp cloth and dry.

Place the unit on a clean, dry and level surface near an electrical
outlet. Allow about eight inches of clear space all around the exterior
of the unit. NOTE: Do not touch the blade - it is very sharp.

Place food in the bowl. See chopping guide for help.

Place the cover onto the bowl and then position the motor unit on the bowl and then the
motor unit will sit on top of the bowl cover and jar. Make sure bowl motor unit is locked.
To begin food chopping, press and hold the Pulse button. NOTE:

Avoid running the motor continiously in this mode for longer than
1 minute. For coarsely chopped foods, use short pulses.
5.
Be sure the blade stops rotating completely before removing the bowl cover.
6.
Unplug the unit and remove the motor unit. Remove the bowl and empty the food.
7.
Do not use the bowl for storing food.

CHOPPING GUIDE

FOOD TYPE
Bread or crumbs
Cheese - hard (Parmesan,
Asiago, Romano, etc.)
Cheese - soft (cream
cheese, etc.)

Vegetables
Use day-old bread for dry crumbs, fresh bread for moist crumbs. Cut or tear into
small chunks. Add a small amount of butter per slice and chop until desired.
Cut into small half-inch pieces and remove 30 minutes before processing.
Best at room temperature. Cut into 1-2 inch pieces.
Process spices about 1/4 cup at a time. If using cinnamon
sticks, break up into 1 inch pieces. Hard spices may
cause scratches on the work bowl and cover.
Peel garlic cloves first.
Uncooked meats should be cold, not frozen. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
Trim away fat. Cooked meats can be cold or warm. Add liquid (water,
broth or from cooking) as needed to process puree consistency.
Toast nuts first for full extraction of flavor. Cool before
chopping. Process up to 1/2 cup at a time.
Peel and cut into small, 3/4 inch or smaller pieces.
Core, seed and cut into 1/2 inch pieces. Do not over chop.
Cut into 1/2 inch pieces.
Cook vegetables until tender. Process to a smooth puree for baby
food or sauces. Fill work bowl up to 2/3 of the way full.
