3. Rotate heat control dial to 150°F and turn oven On. Set timer if desired.
4. Allow food to cook until thawed. (Thawing time will vary according to type of food and amount
being thawed.)
5. When thawed, continue to heat according to recipe or directions on package until item
is fully cooked.
IMPORTANT: To avoid contamination, always cook food thoroughly or refrigerate it immediately
after thawing.
SLOW COOKING
For pot roasts and other items requiring long cooking times:
1. Place the food in the multi-purpose pan, and set it on the wire rack in the oven. Close the
oven door.
2. Select a temperature between 200°F and 250°F.
3. Set the timer at the continuous On position and allow food to cook until ready.
4. Turn unit off manually and remove pan.
HINTS & TIPS
• During the first few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and a slight odor. This is
caused by the normal residual burn-off of the protective coating on the heating elements and
should disappear after about 15 minutes of use.
• Smoke may also appear during broiling or baking. When broiling, it is always recommended
to cut off excess fat on food before placing it in oven to minimize smoke. If oven smokes during
baking, this usually means the oven interior or pan is dirty and requires cleaning.
(See CARE AND CLEANING.)
• In addition to toaster foods, cooking some other items may also produce condensation on the
oven door. This is normal and will quickly disappear.
• Frozen foods and thick meats will take longer to cook.
• When defrosting, do not arrange food in layers. Place as a single layer on multi-purpose pan.
• To prevent heat loss, avoid opening the oven door unless absolutely necessary.
• When toasting, remember that frozen bread or multiple slices will require a longer toasting
time, so use a darker setting for best results.
• Except when toasting, NEVER place items directly on rack; ALWAYS use the multi-purpose pan.
• Remove all plastic and paper wrappings from food before cooking.
• Always leave space between top of food being cooked and upper heating element.
• If the power cord begins to heat and smoke, stop using and unplug appliance immediately.
