Maintenance
Maintenance regulations for Geberit pressing jaws
These Geberit pressing jaws are low-maintenance and do not need
to be tested by authorised repair shops if they are used as
intended. However, pressing jaws still require maintenance.
Pressing jaws that are not maintained, or are not professionally
maintained, can cause accidents and injuries.
It is essential to observe the maintenance intervals and
maintenance work outlined below:

Maintenance work

Check the Geberit pressing jaw for
externally visible defects such as
damage, material cracks, patches of rust
and other signs of wear. Replace the
pressing jaw if defects are present.

Remove deposits in the pressing contour.

Spray the pressing contour with
BRUNOX® Turbo-Spray® and clean with
a cloth.

Examine whether the jaw levers can
move easily. If necessary, move the jaw
levers several times until they are able to
move easily.

Check that the Geberit pressing jaw is
fully closed and has sufficient press
capacity using the Geberit PowerTest. If
defects are detected during the check, the
pressing jaw, pressing tool and
PowerTest must be sent to an authorised
repair shop.
