3. Install the Handles
Apply a bead of plumbers putty or other sealant around the
bottom of the adapter according to the putty manufacturer's
instructions.
Thread an adapter onto the valve.
Install stem extension and screw. Securely tighten.
Fit a handle assembly over the valve, and align it with the
setscrew hole toward the wall. Orient the lever handle with the
lever pointing away from the spout while in the closed position.
Tighten the setscrew.
Press a plug button into the setscrew hole.
Remove any excess plumbers putty.
Repeat with the second handle.
