To enable the cooker hood and hob to
"locate" each other so that they can
establish communication, both
appliances need to be signed on.
Both appliances must be installed and
fitted with the appropriate
communication modules and
connected to the mains electricity
supply.
You only need to carry out the signing
on procedure once.
If the appliances are disconnected from
the electricity supply, during a power
cut for example, they will still remain
signed on.
Important: Sign the cooker hood on
first, followed by the hob.

Signing on the cooker hood

^ Switch off the fan and the hob
lighting.
^ Press the control for the run-on option
"–" for approx. 10 seconds. The
first power level indicator lamp will
light up in the display.
^ Then press in turn:
– the "-" control (Sensor "1")*.
– then the "+" control (Sensor "4")*,
– then the control for the hob lighting
"n" **.
If the automatic mode has not been
activated, the indicator lamps for fan
power levels "II" and "III" will flash
simultaneously.

^ Press the "+" control to activate auto-
matic mode.
The signing on process will start and
the indicator lamps for fan power levels
"II" and "III" will flash alternately.
The signing on process will take a few
minutes.
After the signing on process has been
completed successfully, the indicator
lamps for fan power levels "II" and "III"
will light up constantly.
^ Confirm signing on with the control
for the run-on option "–". All the
indicator lamps will go out.
If you do not confirm within 4 minutes,
the cooker hood will not be signed on.
Cooker hoods with two towers and
two sets of controls
e.g. DA 5330 W, DA 5330 D
These cooker hoods operate with two
fans. Each side has its own own
controls.
Each side can communicate with a
hob.
For communication to take place, both
sides of the cooker hood and the hob
must be fitted with the appropriate
communication module.
The signing on will take place one side
at a time. First one side of the cooker
hood will be signed on to the
appropriate hob and then the other side
will be signed on to the appropriate
hob.
