Installation and removal protective plate (see fig. 4)
Fig 4 shows protective plate 25 mounting / dismounting
operations
Setting of cutting angle (see fig. 5)
• Loosen adjusting bolts 16 with help of wrench 15
(see fig. 5.1).
• Set the required cutting angle turning adjusting
stop 17 The angle is set according to the indication of
scale 28 (see fig. 5.2)
• Tighten adjusting bolts 16 with help of wrench 15
(see fig. 5.3).
Setting of cutting width (see fig. 6)
• Unscrew adjusting bolts 16 with help of wrench 15
(see fig. 6.1).
• Select the required width of cut shifting the adjusting
stop 17 (see fig. 6.2).
• Align holes in the adjusting stop 17 with threaded
holes in the base plate 11, and tighten adjusting
bolts 16 with help of wrench 15
Mounting / replacement of cutting disc (see
fig. 7-10)
After mounting of cutting disc, make a
trial run before commencing operation -
start the power tool and let it work in idle
mode for not less than 30 seconds. The
operation of cutting disc with radial or axial run-
out and causing increased vibration of the power
tool is strictly forbidden.
Wearing protective gloves is recom-
mended for mounting / replacing cutting
disc.
• Lift the body to the uppermost position
• For model SDS21-355 DN Loosen the wing screw 22
and move the cover 23 upwards, as shown in figure 7.1.
• For model SDS24-355 DN Lift the movable guard
cover 9 to the uppermost position (see fig. 9.1).
• Move the spindle lock 8 to the right and hold it, after
that put the wrench 15 on the bolt 33 and turn it in order
to fix the cutting disc 10 in the fixed position. Press and
hold the spindle lock 8, unscrew the bolt 33 with help
of wrench 15 (see fig. 7.2, 9.2).
• Dismount from the spindle 29: washer 32, external
flange 31, cutting disc 10 and internal flange 30 (see
fig. 8.1, 10.1).
• Clean fastening elements with a soft brush and
mount on the spindle 29: internal flange 30, cutting
disc 10, external flange 31 and washer 32 Observe the
consequence of parts installation, avoid oblique setting
of parts in the course of mounting and do not turn over
the flanges (see fig. 8.2, 10.2).
• Press and hold the spindle lock 8, tighten the
bolt 24 with help of wrench 15 Then release the
spindle lock 8
• Make sure that cutting disc 10 does not touch any
elements of power tool and can rotate freely
• For model SDS21-355 DN Move the cover 23 down
and tighten the wing screw 22
• For model SDS24-355 DN Move the movable guard
cover 9 in original location
Always use the correct supply voltage: the power sup-
ply voltage must match the information quoted on the
power tool identification plate.
Switching the power
Short-term switching on / off
To switch on, press and hold on / off switch 5, to switch
off - release it
Long-term switching on / off
Switching on:
Push on / off switch 5 and lock it in the position with
lock-on button 4
Switching off:
Push and release on / off switch 5
on the power tool operation
•
Place the power tool on the worktable It's recom-
mended to fix power tool with cramps (see fig. 11).
• If required, adjust the clamping device for cutting
a workpiece with required width and set the needed
cutting angle (the order of operations is described
above)
• Lift the tiltable lever 20 and move the lead screw 19
until its rotary stop 18 touches the workpiece (see
fig. 12.1).
• Lower the tiltable lever 20 and turn the clamping
handle 21 to fix the workpiece (see fig. 12.2-12.3).
Avoid misalignment or skew of the workpiece
• Turn on the power tool, allow cutting disc 10 to reach
the full rotation speed
• Smoothly pull the body down and make the cut
• Do not overload the power tool (especially when cut-
ting metal profiles, panel constructions, etc.) as it will
overload the motor and may damage the cutting disc
There must be enough time for the power tool to carry
out the operation
• Turn off the power tool and wait until cutting disc 10
stops completely
• Lift the power tool body up smoothly
• To remove the workpiece, lift the tiltable lever 20
and move the lead screw 19 back
Power tool maintenance /
preventive measures
Before carrying out any works on the power tool it
must be disconnected from the mains.
Cleaning of the power tool
An indispensable condition for a safe long-term
exploitation of the power tool is to keep it clean During
the long treatment of metal, current-conducting dust
can be accumulated inside the power tool Regularly
