CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE

Defective components must always be replaced with original replacement parts .
Compliance with safety requirements can only be guaranteed if original replace-
ment parts are used .

Do not allow any liquids or moisture to get into the appliance .
■
Do not place any objects on the scale when it is not in use .
■
Protect the appliance against knocks, dust, chemicals, extremes of temperature,
etc . and keep it away from sources of heat (ovens, radiators) .
■
Do not press down on the weighing mechanism .
■
Do not press on the plastic cover of the weight display .
■
Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures .
■
Do not load the scale with more than 5 kg . The scale could be irreparably
damaged .
Preparation
Unpacking
1 . Remove all parts of the scale and the operating instructions from the box .
2 . Remove all packaging material from the scales .
3 . Remove the transport safety device (white polystyrene foam):

Unscrew the two screws 2 using a slotted screwdriver . Remove the
screws and washers . Keep the screws 2 . You can dispose of the washers .
–
Remove the transport safety device and dispose of it .
4 . Clean the appliance as described in the section "Cleaning and Care" .
