MOUNTING OVER JUNCTION BOX
1.
Remove the quick mount bracket from the fixture base by
loosening the two set screws. See Figure 1.
2.
Install the quick mount bracket on a junction box at the intended
location using hardware supplied with junction box. Make sure
arrow on the bracket is pointing up. A high grade caulking
material, such as silicone rubber, should be used between gasket
on bracket and mounting surface.
NOTE: The bubble level on the quick mount bracket can be used
to ensure the bracket is mounted level.
3.
Pull supply leads through center hole in quick mount bracket.
4.
Attach the aircraft cable hook from the fixture base to the center
hole in the quick mount bracket to support the fixture.
5.
Make wiring connections per the Electrical Connections section.
6.
While holding fixture, remove aircraft cable from the fixture base
by removing screw holding cable in place. Discard cable and hook.
7.
Attach fixture base to the quick mount bracket by hooking top
of bracket into the angled bracket on the back side of the fixture
base. Next, lower the fixture until base sits flush with mounting
surface.
8.
Secure the fixture base to the quick mount bracket by tightening
two set screws on bottom of the fixture base.
9.
Apply a high grade caulking material, such as a silicone rubber,
between the fixture base and the mounting surface. Make sure
caulking material is also applied at the set screw locations.
MOUNTING USING SURFACE CONDUIT (REQUIRES
USE OF E-ACSBWFZ ACCESSORY)
1.
Remove the quick mount bracket from the fixture base by
loosening the two set screws. See Figure 1. Properly discard the
quick mount bracket.
2.
For attachment of box to mounting surface, drill (2) 9/32" (8mm)
holes in opposite corners on the back surface of the surface
mounting box accessory (E-ACSBWFZ) for use with 1/4" (7mm)
fasteners. Do NOT drill holes within 1/4" (7mm) of the edge on the
surface mounting box
3.
Attach surface mounting box to mounting surface using 1/4"
(7mm) fasteners appropriate for mounting surface. Angled side of
surface mounting box must be positioned facing up and down (on
vertical axis of box). See Figure 2 on back page.
NOTE: A high grade caulking material, such as a silicone rubber,
should be used around perimeter of mounting box between back
surface of box and the mounting surface to ensure a watertight
enclosure.
