1) Leak shut-off valve
The leak shut-off valve must be installed just after the water inlet
valve. It must be installed on an appropriate surface where the
leakage may be detected immediately. A proper location could
be the lowest level of the undersink space, however, for locating
the best place, please consult with a qualified plumber.
2) Regulator (set at 300kPa inlet water pressure)
The pressure regulator must be installed between check valve
and leak shut-off valve, to reduce the inlet water pressure to
300kPa. A spring loaded regulator set at 300kPa is recommen-
ded.
3) Pressure relief valve with saddle valve (set at 690kPa relief
pressure)
The pressure relief valve must be installed between faucet and
the outlet of chiller, to reduce pressure buildup from expanded
volume of ice in the water tank. The ice can be made not only in
normal working cycle, but also when the chiller unit is exposed
to cold environment. This valve will release the excessive pres-
sure greater than 690kPa from the chiller and connected parts,
and its end must be connected to a drain pipe with saddle valve
or bulkhead adaptor.
4) (Optional) Expansion tank (set at 400kPa precharged pressu-
re, with 0.4L volume)
The expansion tank (so called shock arrestor, accumulator or
bladder tank) can be installed together with aforementioned
safety device to reduce the risk of pressure buildup in the chiller
and its connected parts. There must not be any non-return type
valves (such as regulator, check valve, relief valve etc.) between
expansion tank and the chiller, because these valves will not

5. COMMISSIONING & START-UP
1) Open inlet water valve, and check all connections and the
unit if any leakage occurs.
2) Purge air from all water lines by opening the faucet valve
which chiller is connected to. An steady stream ensures there's
no air in the circuit.
3) Again, check all connections and the unit for any sign of leak,
then connect power.

6. MAINTENANCE

1. Condenser should be periodically cleaned with brush, air
hose or vacuum cleaner. Excessive dirt or poor ventilation may
cause no cold water or inefficient cooling cycle. Be sure to dis-
connect the power supply before doing it to avoid the danger
of electric shocks.
2. Any pipes, fittings and valves need to be replaced with new
one at least every 3 years to reduce the risk of leakage.
3. Check the unit regularly at least every month if there is no
leakage or excessive noise.
