The filter
I
(part no. 8PS 351 327-231) on
the flushing device must be
replaced after five air-
conditioning systems have been
rinsed completely.
Always flush in the opposite
I
15
direction to the original
refrigerant flow direction.
The Plexiglas cover on the
I
flushing device must not be
removed during the flushing
procedure. The cylinders on the
flushing device warm up during
the rinsing procedure and must
only be touched once they have
sufficiently cooled down.
Compressors, expansion valves,
I
orifice tubes and filter-
dryers/accumulators cannot be
flushed, however, and have to be
bridged by adapters during the
flushing process.
After the flushing procedure,
I
expansion valves/orifice tubes
and filter-dryers/accumulators
always have to be replaced, and
compressors if necessary.
Since multi-flow components are
I
very difficult to flush and the
danger of residual soiling remains,
a so-called compressor screen
should be installed in the suction
line (before compressor inlet) after
the flushing procedure.
After the flushing procedure and
I
the reassembly of the air-
conditioning system, a leak test
must be carried out.
The seals of dismantled
I
components must always be
replaced.
After the flushing procedure,
I
fill the air-conditioning system/
components with the
quantity of refrigerant and oil
prescribed by the manufacturer.
