Cabin Air Filter Removal
The information below explains necessary procedures and tools to remove and install the Cabin Air
Filter (CAF).
1. Open the hood.
2. The CAF access cover is located on the passenger
side of the vehicle, behind the battery.
3. Remove the two screws from the top of the cowl
cover.
NOTE: The screws are not always present.
4. Remove the passenger side cowl cover by carefully
lifting straight up to release the four spring clips.
NOTE: In some cases, the cowl is secured with screws.
5. Remove and discard the CAF.
NOTE: The filter should lift straight up and out.

6. Insert the new CAF.
7. Reinstall the passenger side cowl cover to the
original position.
8. Reconnect the two screws from the top of the cowl
cover.
NOTE: If applicable.
Noise Test
9. Reconnect the battery ground cable.
10. Engine ON, A/C ON, blower speed on high.
11. Listen for any abnormal air noises from the air filter area.
