Mascarpone & red beet Christmas trees

Puff pastry sheet, thawed, rolled
to approx. 10 inch x 15 inch

Egg, beaten
2 oz
Mascarpone or cream cheese
2 oz
Boiled beets, diced
1 Tbsp Powdered sugar
Decoration: Dust the filled Christmas trees
with powdered sugar.
1. Prepare the dough, form the trees, and brush
them with egg (refer to instructions p. 6).
2. Baking: approx. 10 min. on the middle rack
of the oven; preheated to 400°F. Remove
from oven and cool slightly, then break trees
apart.
3. Puree Mascarpone, beets and powdered
sugar. Portion filling in the middle of half of
the trees, sandwich them together.
Tip: Use plums instead of beets.
