SCOTT MOTOSPORTS HELMET
• I. INTRODUCTION
Please read this instruction booklet carefully before using your new SCOTT helmet. It con-
tains valuable information that will help you maximize the performance and life of the helmet.
CONFORMANCE TO STANDARDS
MX Helmets 350 EVO, 350 EVO KID and 550 are in compliance with ECE-R 22.05 standard.
As applicable to ECE-R 22.05 Standard : The helmet has been tested and approved specifically
to the European ECE-R 22.05 standard. These test standards quarantee conformity to defined
safety requirements. These homologations guarantee that you have approval for all countries
of the European Union. Therefore you are allowed to use this helmet as head protection for
motorcycling purposes in the European Union.

• II. WARNING
While it is not possible for any helmet to protect the user against all foreseeable impacts and
accidents, the proper use of this helmet will provide a far greater level of protection in the event
of an accident than if no helmet was worn. For the helmet to function properly and to help
reduce the risk of permanent injury or death, it is imperative that the helmet fits securely and
firmly on the head and that all retention straps are properly fastened. When the retention strap
is properly fastened it should not be possible, in most instances, for the helmet to be removed
from the head by either rolling the helmet towards the rear or front. This helmet is not meant to
be used as a fire retardant product and does not contain any fire retardant materials.
ONE IMPACT RULE
Helmets are designed to absorb only ONE impact. After your helmet has endured any
impact, the absorption liner portion of your helmet will have dispersed the energy from the
impact, thus rendering the liner compacted and therefore compromised. Even if there is NO
VISIBLE damage to the shell, the helmet's usefulness is expired after one impact. A helmet
that has experienced an impact should be destroyed and replaced. SCOTT Sports SA shall
not be liable for any damages and losses due to continued use of impacted helmets.
• III. PROPER FITTING
TO ENSURE THE BEST POSSIBLE FIT, YOU SHOULD PHYSICALLY TRY THE HELMET ON
IN THE STORE PRIOR TO PURCHASE TO FIND THE EXACT SIZE THAT BEST SUITS YOUR
HEAD. To determine the proper fit of your helmet, measure your head size by passing a
tape measure around your head approximately 2 c m above the eyebrow line. Use the largest
measurement from this process.
