Proper use

Beeper Plus is the result of continuous improvements
to our circuit and continuity tester which has already
proved its worth a million times. It combines now five
professional tasks performed on electrical lines:

Definition of measurement

Measurement category II
Measurements taken on the circuits connected
directly to the low-voltage mains by plugs.
Typical short-circuit current < 10 kA
Measurement category III
Measurements performed on the installation of
buildings (stationary consumers with non-pluggable
connection, connection to the distribution board,
build-in devices in the distribution board).
Typical short-circuit current < 50 kA
Measurement category IV
Measurements on the source of the low voltage
installation (meter, main connection, primary overcur-
rent protection).
Typical short-circuit current >> 50 kA

Operation
Thank you for purchasing this continuity tester with
integrated LED flashlight.
Optical continuity check (fig. II)
Connect the measuring line. The optical indicator
(large LED) illuminates at 0 ~ 20 Ohm. The light
intensity, however, decreases proportionally at a
value of 10 Ohm and more.
Note
If, contrary to your expectation, a
voltage is applied at the object to
be measured, the glow lamp [1]
illuminates.
If the measuring line gets in con-
tact with a line conductor, the
red V ~ LED [2] illuminates.
Acoustic continuity check (fig. III)
Connect the measuring line. The acoustic signal
sounds at 0 ~ 250 Ohm. The green
illuminates simultaneously.
