Cabin Air Filter Removal
The information below explains necessary procedures and tools to remove and install the Cabin Air
Filter (CAF).
1. Open the glove compartment and release the
damper cable.
2. Remove the lower instrument panel by removing
its hardware and disconnecting the tabs. Remove
the side cover by carefully pulling at the upper front
edge toward you in a motion not to damage or
deform the panel.
NOTE: Be careful the edges can be sharp.
3. Identify and remove the glove compartment
support hardware, then disconnect the electrical
connector and remove the glove compartment.
4. Remove the CAF access cover by pushing the
clasps.
5. Remove the original CAF element from the
filter housing. The original filter element can be
discarded.
