Presentation
The HX0034 accessory is a current clamp for oscilloscopes
using a Hall-effect cell to measure DC or AC currents up to
80 A peak, without any intervention on the electrical installation
(cutting off the current to be measured).
This clamp, which is a voltage output transducer, is a PLUG
and PLAY device used as an accessory for the SCOPIX
METRIX range of portable oscilloscopes.
It enables rapid measurement of the current in the conductors.
The measurement output is totally insulated. Its ergonomic
shape and size make the clamp particularly suitable for this
type of measurement.
Its measuring sensitivity, its metrological performance and its
excellent frequency response mean that it can be used as an
oscilloscope accessory.
Safety
Never perform measurements on conductors with a potential
greater than 600 V in relation to the earth.
- This clamp is protected by double insulation or reinforced
insulation. It does not have to be connected to the earth
protection terminal for electrical safety.
- This clamp is designed for indoor use at an altitude > 2,000 m
in an environment with pollution level 2.

This clamp can be used for measurements on Cat. II
installations up to 600 V and on Cat. III installations up to 300 V.
- Do not use this clip on conductors carrying high-frequency
currents greater than 4 Arms @ 1 MHz : risk of burning and
deformation of the clamp jaws.
Installation categories
Cat. II: corresponds to measurements performed on circuits
connected directly to the low-voltage installation.
Cat. III: corresponds to measurement performed in the
building's installation.
Precautions
- The protective barrier on this clamp marks off the part which
can be handled safely.
- If the clamp is broken, it must no longer be used. If the casing
is broken, the double insulation is no longer guaranteed, so
user safety is not ensured.
- This clamp must be connected to the associated oscilloscope
before performing any current measurements. It must not be
disconnected during measurement.
- Always disconnect all power sources before opening the casing.
