LIFTING LOAD
1.
Ensure the transmission weight and size does not exceed the capacity of the jack, before using
the lifting tool.
2.
Make sure that the vehicle is well balanced when using a 2 post lift. For e.g. on front-wheel drive
vehicles, after removing a gearbox, the front of the vehicle becomes lighter and can fall off the
lifting platform.
3.
Make sure that the handbrake is applied and that the vehicle cannot roll. When using a four-post
lift, otherwise the vehicle could roll when the jack will be positioned.
4.
Make sure that no other person is in the vehicle.
5.
Make sure that the lifting device is in the lowest position, the foot pedal is easily accessible and
the transmission jack is centrally located under the vehicle transmission.
6.
Pump the foot pedal, the jack will move towards the gearbox.
7.
If the lifting device is just below the gearbox, the alignment of the lifting device must be checked
and readjusted if necessary.
LOWERING LOAD
1. Attention! Always make sure that the load is stable and well balanced on the jack before it is
raised or lowered.
2. Caution! To transport the load, the jack must be completely lowered and the load secured. To
lowered the load, slowly turn the release valve knob counterclockwise.
3. Important: The more the release valve is opened, the faster the lifting device lowers and thus the
load. Therefore open the drain valve slowly, otherwise there is a risk of the load falling from the
jack.
4. The release valve will automatically return to the closed position via spring force when the button
is released.
TRANSPORTING LOAD
1. Make sure the jack and load are fully lowered before moving.
2. Only transport the load over level and solid ground, preferably concrete, and make sure that the
floor is swept clean.
3. Be careful when lowering it and keep the load under constant observation.
4. Make sure that no other person is in the immediate work area or under the load.
MAINTENANCE
Monthly maintenance is recommended. Lubrication is critical to lifting tool as they support heavy
loads. Any restriction due to dirt, rust, etc., can cause either slow movement or cause extremely rapid
jerks, damaging the components.
The following steps are designed to keep the lifting tool well lubricated:
Lubricate joints, linkages and the pump mechanism with oil and wheel axles with grease.
Do a visual inspection and check the lifting tool for cracked welds, bent, loose, missing parts and
check the hydraulics for oil leaks.
If the lifting tool has been subjected to abnormal stress or impact, take it out of service and have
it checked by a qualified person before use.
Clean all surfaces and maintain all labels and warnings.
Check the oil level and correct the oil level if necessary.
Check the hydraulic piston every 3 months for any signs of rust or corrosion. Clean it as needed
and wipe it with an oiled cloth.
Lift the device as high as possible without a load and look under and behind the moving parts. If
signs of rust are visible, clean them as needed.
