NOTE
The Cart installed in its final position must be positioned
so that cold air can flow through the units. Do not install
or use the Cart in an environment exposed to atmos-
pheric agents (rain, snow, ice), dust, aggressive gases,
or in explosive environments or those with a high fire
risk.
During operation, the following environmental conditions
must be respected:
•
temperature: from 0 °C to +40 °C
•
relative humidity: 0 - 95% (without condensation)
USE
WARNING!
When employing the Cart for pumping toxic, flammable,
or radioactive gases, please follow the required proce-
dures for each gas disposal.
WARNING!
Always insert the brakes on the Cart wheels when it is
operating.
WARNING!
Never operate the Turbo pump if the pump inlet is not
connected to the system.
WARNING!
Using a Cart equipped with a tubomolecular pump with
size equal to or less than the TV 300, when the pump
must be reinstalled after a removal, to avoid dangers in
the case of a sudden stop of the Turbo pump, it must be
fixed to the Cart by means of the original fixing device:
screws with a minimum yield point of 500 N/mm 2 and
fixing them with a torque of 0.9 Nm (for M4 screws), or
3.1 Nm (for M6 screws).
WARNING!
Using a Cart equipped with a turbomolecular pump TV
550 or TV 700, when the pump must be reinstalled due
to a Cart transportation, the pump must be fixed by
means of the original screw set or by means of a fixing
device suitable for transportation.
In any case it is forbidden to put the pump group in op-
eration with that fastening.
The following paragraphs describe the fundamental op-
erating procedures. Detailed information and operating
procedures that involve optional connections or options
are supplied in the Instruction Manual of each unit.
