Dear Customer,
Congratulations on your purchase of a Sevylor product. The U102ACC/MM3 motor
mount is designed to fit all Sevylor round boats that accept gasoline or electric
motors. Please read carefully the following instructions before assembling this
product.
1. First please check to see that you have all the parts needed.
Diagram – A – on the first page shows the complete kit (parts #1 - #7).
# 1 : 2 Stainless steel mounting pipes
# 2 : 2 Telescoping L-Rods
# 3 : 1 Transom board
# 4 : 4 J-Bolts
2. Before attaching the motor inflate all the chambers of your Sevylor boat.
Note: inflate the main chamber slightly.
3. Assembly (see steps in Diagram – B –):
Step 1 – Slide the black tightening collars over the long end of the stainless
steel mounting pipes so that the screw threads line up with the holes on either
side of the pipe.
Step 2 – Insert the telescoping L-rods into the stainless steel mounting pipes.
Step 3 – Insert the ends of the L-rods into the oarlock base holes (or some
boats are equipped with special motor mount fittings slightly behind the
oarlocks), from the inside of the boat toward the outside.
Step 4 – Extend the mounting pipes to the back of the boat, and insert them
down into the motor mount fittings found on the back of the boat. The mounting
pipes may be adjusted up or down to rest on the top of the boat.
Step 5 – Attach the transom board to the mounting pipes with the four J-bolts,
washers and wing nuts. Tighten securely. Note: The arrows on the transom
board should be pointing up. The lower of the J-bolts (on each side) can be
attached above or below the hard plastic fitting, depending on the size of the
boat, and how the mounting pipes rest on the top of the boat.
Step 6 – Using a small amount of force, slide the telescoping rods farther into
the mounting pipes and secure by turning the tightening collars clockwise. Do
this by hand only. Do NOT use tools in an attempt to tighten more firmly.
Finally, finish inflation of the main chamber. You are now ready to clamp your
motor onto the transom board. It is always best to check periodically to insure that
all connections remain tight and secure. Be safe and have fun.
# 5 : 4 Wing nuts
# 6 : 4 Washers
# 7 : 2 Tightening collars
