Check Blades
To assure good operation of the
equipment, frequently check whether
blades are in good condition, sharp and
screws are properly secured. To inspect
blades:
Stop the machine.

Remove tractor ignition key and

disassemble cardan.
Remove shredder cover screw.
✔
Slowly open cover to full opening.
✔
Turn disk and check the status of each
✔
blade.
Sharpen and Replace Blades
A good performance of the shredder
usually depends on how sharp blades are.
Blades are reversible and have two cutting
edges to be used before sharpening or
replacement. To disassemble blades:
Repeat procedures in item "Check

Blades".
Turn disk until blade screws are
✔
accessible.
Loosen securing screws (A) and
✔
remove blade (B).
Turn blade 180° to use the good
✔
cutting edge.
Replace screws and washers. Tighten
✔
with a torque wrench according to
table "Torque Specifications".
Repeat the operation for remaining
✔
blades.

If both edges of the blade are worn,
sharpen them. If they are entirely worn or
damaged, replace them. Get in touch with
the TRAPP nearest Technical Assistance.
