Tail Light Converter
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Locate the vehicles wiring harness. On
most trucks, full size vans and SUV's the
harness will be located under the vehicle along
the frame rail (Fig. 1).
On most passenger cars the harness will be
located in the trunk behind the trim panels
(Fig. 2). The wiring harness on most mini-vans
and mid-size SUV's is located behind the rear
interior trim panels or behind the jack storage
compartment (Fig. 3).
Note: Location will vary by model.
3. Using a test lamp (probe), identify the
corresponding wires in the harness for the left
turn, right turn, tail lights and brake lights. Note:
On some vehicles the right turn wire may be
located on the right (passenger) side of the
vehicle.
Caution: When using a test light, take care
not to pierce completely through a wire or against
the body of the vehicle as a wiring short and potential damage
to the vehicles wiring system may occur.
4. Using wire taps (provided), attach the input wires of the tail light
converter to the corresponding vehicle harness wires identified in step 3
as indicated below (Fig. 4 & 5).
Converter Brown Wire: Tail Light Circuit
Converter Yellow Wire: Left Turn Circuit
Converter Red Wire: Brake Light Circuit
Converter Green Wire: Right Turn Circuit
