5. Strip and Expose 5/16" of the insulation
from the end of the white wire and attach the
supplied ring terminal using a crimping tool or
pliers.
6. Locate a clean accessible mounting
location on the vehicle frame, cross member or
metal body panel near the converter within reach
of the white wire and grounding eyelet. Remove
any debris or undercoating to expose a clean
metal surface and drill a 7/64" hole.
Caution: Take care not to drill through
the vehicle body or any exposed surface.
7. Mount the white wire to the vehicle chassis using the
ground screw.
8. Confirm trailer harness operation with a test light or by using a
properly equipped trailer.
9. Secure the converter wires to the vehicle using cable ties.
10. Place Installation Instructions in vehicle glove box for future
reference.
Note: For vehicles containing Lamp-Out Sensors or other
sensitive electronic systems, use a Valley Powered Tail Light
Converter.
