If the device is not in use for long periods of time, remove the plug from the plug
point.
Practical advice
It is advisable to start with the largest comb, going to the smaller one if you want a
shorter cut.
To get an even cut, the device should not move too quickly through the hair, as it has
its optimal operating speed.
Once you attach the desired comb, cut the hair by properly supporting the teeth of the
comb. It is advisable to proceed with small cutting sections to prevent the blades from
clogging. If necessary, simply remove the comb. Then perform the same movement
starting from a lowest point to obtain an even cut.
The guide comb: Attach a guide comb appropriate for the desired coat length, as
described.
The dog: The dog's hair should be freshly washed and dried, and all knots and tangles
brushed out. Before you start clipping, turn the clipper on and hold it near the dog to
familiarise the dog to the humming sound of the clipper.
The style: Familiarise yourself with your dog's breed standard: how its coat should
look like and how to get it looking this way. A lot of information is available on the

the internet. The groomer (yourself): Make sure you know how to trim your dog's coat
safely before you start clipping. If you have not clipped your dog before, obtain as
much information aspossible beforehand. Observe a professional groomer, vet or
trainer while they are clipping your/a dog. Ask questions so you know what to expect.
Then, try to be as relaxed as possible.
Turn the clipper off frequently during clipping and touch the blades to make sure the
blades are not getting too warm — hot blades can burn your dog! While using the unit,
untwist the cord from time to time to avoid tanglingDuring clipping, take care not to
cut into loose skin. Always ensure you hold the clipper with the blade running parallel
to the skin.It is normal that the pet clipper becomes hot during use. However, take care
not to burn your dog with hot blades. To prevent the blades becoming too hot, switch
off the unit regularly during clipping, take off the guide comb and apply a few drops of
oil to the blades. Wipe off any excess and start again.
Do not use water to cool the blades! Oiling the blades regularly during use will also
keep them cleaner, which means they will cut better.
