Note the following additional information about performing the treatment!
To ensure that no rinsing fluid is sucked back to venous blood line if bag-to-
bag priming is used without circulation, do not use Standby durations
exceeding 1 hour.
Reaction time of machine needs to be considered in case of fluid bolus
application.
• If fluid bolus is activated, activate Min. UF subsequently with a time delay
of at least 1 second. Avoid pressing both functions at the same time.
• If Min. UF is activated first, no specific steps are required.
To ensure the correct dialysis fluid composition when using the machine in
mmol mode, technical service needs to configure the machine for the used
concentrates.
• During initial installation, all concentrates to be used on the machine
need to be configured.
• When new concentrates are introduced, call technical service to update
the machine with the new concentrates before treatment.
To ensure the correct dialysis fluid composition, the correct concentrate
needs to be selected.
• Ensure that the prescribed acid concentrate is configured in the machine.
• When setting "Sodium concentration", ensure that the connected
concentrate is selected correctly.
In HDF mode, the dialyzer membrane can block under the following
circumstances: In case of activated Minimum UF Rate (see IFU, section
6.3.3), the applied "Ratio blood flow/total UF" is displayed, but the warning
"Ratio blood flow/total UF" (2059) for incompatible settings is not activated.
Blood pump is stopped in case of the following alarms:
• Temporary communication problem (1852)
• Internal memory failure (SUP) (1970)
• Hardware error RAM/ROM (SUP) (1971)
In case of these alarms, proceed as follows:
1. Switch machine off and on again.
The machine will restore therapy parameters and the previous state.
2. Recheck all prescribed treatment parameters if continuing the treatment.
3. If treatment cannot be continued, return blood manually using the crank.
