Mount the VFD vertically and as close as possible to the
main CB panel.
Interior Only: Models PPC7-1-7A3-1-A, PPC7-1-13A2-1-A
Protected Exterior Location: Models PPC7-1-7A3-3-A,
PPC7-1-13A2-3-A
The VFD weighs about 20 pounds. Mount it on a solid
support with three mounting screws.
NOTE: Mount the VFD with the wiring ports down. Leave
at least 3" of clearance to the front and sides of the box for
heat radiation. To maintain the NEMA 3R rating on Models
PPC7-1-7A3-3-A and PPC7-1-13A2-3-A, you must use liquid-
tight conduit for all connections to the VFD.
NOTE: Allow access to the 230V 1ø electrical supply
wiring and to the submersible motor wiring. Use only
copper wire rated at 75° C. Maximum wire length between
the Control and the pump motor will depend on the
motor used, but must meet National Electrical Code (NEC)
or Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and all local code
requirements as applicable.
