Drive unit: part no 858049 for cooler compressor as extra for 2001-2-3-3Turbo.
The bracket (1) is assembled to the engine with 4 pcs screws, 2 pcs (2) to the transmission cover and 2
pcs (4) to the front right engine socket. First disassemble existing screws.
Note! the recess in the intermediate part (5) should be turned to the engine socket. The shorter spacer
sleeves (3b) are to be used in connection with fresh water cooling. Assemble as per Fig 1. Fig 2 shows the
bracket assembled. The bracket increases the length of the engine by 220 mm. Engine width is not affec-
ted. When the bracket is assembled the hand-start cannot be used.
Max power output = 15 Nm (1.5 kpm) ft lb 11 gives 5 kW (6.8 HP) at 3200 r/m.
The attachment bracket (6) is appropriate for Clarion type CPW-400 compressors (not included in Volvo
Penta range). If other equipment is assembled the attachment bracket (6) should be adjusted as necessary
or a new bracket made.
Check after assembly that the drive belt runs true, adjust as necessary. Adjust belt tension as per Fig 3.
