1.
Application
The ISN-GMX-P3S or ISN-GMX-PZ swivel plate
is used in conjunction with an ISN-SM-xx
seismic detector to monitor safe and
strongroom doors with protruding key holes.
2.
Contents
1 x swivel plate
1 x adapter plate
3 x M4x 25mm countersunk screws
1 x ISN-GMX-P3S/PZ drill template
3.
Function
A micro-switch fitted in the swivel plate
monitors the position of the swivel arm and
triggers an alarm when unauthorized access
is attempted. The swivel arm (Fig. 2, item B)
is made from hardened steel and fully covers
the keyhole when the system is armed. When
the system is disarmed, the swivel arm can
be unlocked (Fig. 2, item A) and rotated to
enable free access to the keyhole (Fig. 2,
item C).
4.
Installation
1.
Position the swivel plate so that the
swivel arm covers the entire key hole
(Fig. 2, item B).
2.
Ensure that the swivel arm can rotate
unhindered through 90 degrees in an
anti-clockwise direction.
3.
There are three installation positions for
ISN-SM-xx seismic detectors on the
swivel plate (Fig. 4, items A, B, and C).
4.
Rotate the adaptor plate to select an
installation position for the detector that
suits the routing of the detector cable.
The selected position must not hinder
the rotary movement of the swivel arm.
5.
Remove paint, rust and any other
potential obstructions from the
mounting area.
6.
If the surround of the key hole protrudes
more than 4mm with ISN-GMX-P3S
(24mm with ISN-GMX-PZ), insert
additional spacers (Fig. 3, items E and F)
between the swivel plate and the
assembly surface to ensure free
movement of the swivel arm.
7.
When using spacers, screws longer than
the provided M4 x 25mm must be used.
Longer screws are not included in the
scope of supply.
4.1. Direct installation
Take note of the orientation of the
swivel plate and the required drill
pattern.
1.
Use the ISN-GMX-P3S/PZ drill template
to determine the location of the required
holes.
2.
Drill 3 x 3.2mm Ø holes (the depth to be
determined by the thickness of the
door).
3.
Thread the holes to M4.
4.
Remove the drill template after drilling
the door.
5.
Secure the adaptor plate and the swivel
plate to the door using the 3 x M4 x
25mm countersunk screws provided.

4.2. Installation using the ISN-GMX-P0
mounting plate
Take note of the orientation of the
swivel plate and the required drill
pattern.
Installation using spacers requires
M4 screws > 25mm (not provided).
Secure the ISN-GMX-P0 directly on to the
door.
Fig. 3, item F shows the correct
orientation of the ISN-GMX-P0 to
give cable access at the top.
Weld the ISN-GMX-P0 directly to the
door
or
Use the ISN-GMX-P0 as a drill template.
Mark the 3 centrally located countersunk
holes.
Drill 3 x 3.2mm Ø holes and thread to
M4.
Secure the ISN-GMX-P0 using 3 x M4
screws.
4.3. Installation using 2mm or 4mm
spacers
Take note of the orientation of the
swivel plate and the required drill
pattern.
Installation using spacers requires
M4 screws > 25mm (not provided).
1.
Use the drill template to determine the
location of the required holes and drill 3
x 3.2mm holes (depth to be determined
by the thickness of the door).
2.
Remove the drill template.
3.
Thread the holes to M4.
4.
Insert 2mm and/or 4mm spacers as
required to obtain the required
clearance distance for the swivel plate.
5.
Secure the spacers, adaptor plate and
swivel plate to the door, using M4
countersunk screws >25mm (not
included in package).

Complete the installation
Do not crush cables between the
adaptor plate and the swivel arm.
Tightening torque of screws 1Nm.
All contact surfaces must be clean
to ensure acoustic transfer.

1.
Fix the ISN-SM-xx detector to the
adaptor plate using the two internal
fixing screws.
2.
Fix the ISN-GMX-S1 test transmitter to
the adaptor plate using the M4 x 6mm
screw provided with the ISN-GMX-S1
(Fig. 3, item B) and connect the ISN-
GMX-S1 to the detector.
3.
Connect the two detection wires from
the ISN-GMX-P3S or ISN-GMX-PZ in
series with the required zone or tamper
terminals on the ISN-SM-xx detector.
4.
Arm the system and perform functional
checks:
Move the swivel arm.
Use the ISN-GMX-S1 if fitted.
Scratch the surface with a
screwdriver.
