unit if the power control is damaged, wet, in contact with or near spilled water or any liquid.
Do not use the unit if the button activation switch has been exposed to water or any liquid.

• Do not attempt to disassemble, modify or service the product or motor; no serviceable
parts are inside. Only use genuine La-Z-Boy

WARNING

• Plug directly into a wall outlet. Do not use an extension cord, adapter, surge protector or power strip.
• Sit down in the unit slowly. To avoid tip over, do not throw your weight against the back
of the unit. Move the unit into or out of the reclining position slowly, making sure that no
children or pets are in close proximity.
• The Power Rocking Recliner and Power Wall Recliner with Headrest and Lumbar units are
intended for a single occupant not exceeding 300 pounds per seat. Do not operate an
individual seat with more than one occupant in or on any part of the individual seat.
• To safely exit the unit and prevent a tripping hazard, bring the back upright and close the legrest.
NOTICE:
After 1 minute of continuous operation, allow the system to rest for 9 minutes.
Only proceed after having followed the Assembly Instructions completely.
Operating Instructions for Furniture with a Control Panel:
Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet. Make sure there is enough slack in the cord running
from the chair to the outlet to allow for reclining. Never stretch or strain a cord.
The power features are operated by the toggles on the Control Panel located on the outside
arm. Each feature has a dedicated toggle for independent operation of the feature, or
simultaneous operation of multiple features when more than one toggle is pressed. *
Press rearward the Back and Legrest toggle to increase the amount of recline or extension.
Press the toggle forward to retract the back and legrest.
Press the Headrest and Lumbar toggle forward to increase the amount of adjustment. Press the toggle
rearward to decrease the amount of adjustment.
The Control Panel also features Memory I, Memory II and Home buttons for personal, effortless operation
and added comfort. Two preferred recline settings may be stored for a more enjoyable reclining experience.
Press and release a stored Memory button (not holding for more than 2 seconds) and the furniture
automatically moves to the stored setting. If no setting is stored, the furniture will move to its home, or
upright, closed and stored position. Press and release the Home button and the furniture automatically
moves to its home position.
A handy USB port for charging small personal electronic devices is located in the cradle to keep
your devices close at hand and ready for use at all times.
Unplug the power supply from the wall outlet if you are going to be away from your residence for
an extended period of time.
* When the furniture is powered by the 9-volt battery backup or the optional rechargeable
lithium-ion pack, only two features can be operated at the same time.

Back toggle
Press the Back toggle rearward and hold to recline
the chair back. Or press it forward and hold to return
the back to the upright position. Release the button
to stop the back in any reclined position, or when
fully reclined or fully raised.

Legrest toggle
Press the Legrest toggle rearward and hold to
extend the legrest and tilt the chair body backward.
Or press it forward and hold to close the legrest
and return the chair body. Release the button to
stop the legrest in any extended position, or when
fully raised or fully closed.
