6. STORAGE
We recommend that the lifejacket is stored in a dry place,
possibly suspended on a hanger in a wardrobe. Unintended
inflation may occur. This may be due to a combination of
moisture and vibration. If the annual service is observed, the
risk of this will be reduced.
7. APPLICATIONS AND LIMITATIONS
VIKING YouSafe™ Pro is designed for yachting and working
purposes within the shipping and offshore industry.
The lifejacket has been tested in water temperatures ranging
from -1°C to 30°C. At water temperatures below zero,
automatic inflation may be delayed. If so, release it manually.
Never wear other clothing or harness over the lifejacket.
If worn together with an immersion suit or any special
clothing such as sailors' wear with buoyancy, the functioning
of the lifejacket may be affected. Thus, the capability of
turning an unconscious person can be reduced. Please note
that a lifejacket fitted with Hammar inflators only inflates
automatically when submerged in water deeper than 10 cm.
