6.5. Defrost
Defrost management is done by the exhaust air temperature sensor.
To enable a defrost strategy at least one of the following devices:
Mixing chamber
Electrical pre-heater
Inverter modulating fans
Mixing chamber can be combined with the electrical pre-heater.

6.6. External dampers
External dampers are open when the unit is turned On
They are closed when the unit is turned Off with a delay from the fan stop
Moreover the dampers can be close in the following cases:
Unit stopped by alarm
Antifreeze active
Winter start-up (with mixing chamber)
6.7. Freecooling-heating
Free-cooling is disabled if fresh air temperature is lower than a set point (with an hysteresis)
Free-cooling is active when the fresh air temperature is lower than set point temperature – free-cooling differential
and the unit is in cooling mode
Free-heating is active when the fresh air temperature is higher than set point temperature + free-heating differential
and the unit is in heating mode
6.8. Heating
Heating is done by a 3 point valve or an electrical heater (depending on plant type).
Minimum water temperature
Hot valve is enabled if digital input DI1 (expansio n card) is close.
This alarm is automatically reset and activate the ge neral alarm output
Heating element
The heating element s activated by set point and a differential
The 3 point valve is regulated proportionally on th e set point
