1. INSTALLATION ACCORDING TO THE EUROPEAN DIRECTIVE OF
ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY
SCA-05 servodrives can be installed in conjunction with external radiofrequency filters to
reduce electromagnetic Interference. These servodrives, when correctly installed, attend the
requirements of the electromagnetic compatibility directive "EMC Directive 89/336/EEC"
with the 93/68/EEC complement.
The SCA-05 series servodrive was developed only for professional applications. That is why
the harmonic current emission limits defined by the EN 61000-3-2 and EN 61000-3-2/A
14 standard do not apply.

1.1 Definition of the Standards

A table listing the standards that SCA-05 attends is presented below.
EMC Phenomenon
Emission:
Conducted Emission
("Main Terminal Disturbance Voltage"
Frequency Range: 150kHz to 30MHz)
Radiated Emission
("Electromagnetic Radiation Disturbance"
Frequency Range: 30MHz to 1000MHz)
Immunity:
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
Fast Transients ("Fast Transient Burst")
Conducted Immunity ("Conducted Radio-Fre-
quency Common Mode")
Surge Immunity
Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Field
