SAFETY
•
Do not use this awning in icy, frosty or snowy weather, as it may get damaged.
•
Close the awning in rain and wind and when it is not in use.
•
Do not climb on, hang from or walk on the frame.
•
Do not place items on or hang items from the awning.
•
Do not open the awning when maintenance, cleaning or construction work is being carried out nearby.
•
Do not use the awning if it is damaged, as the retractable arms may unfold suddenly and violently,
which may cause injury or other damage.
•
Never use a barbecue under the awning or light a fire nearby.
•
When the front bar touches the roller tube, stop retracting the awning, as it may get damaged.
•
Make sure the canvas is taut. If, while the awning is open, the canvas is not taut, turn the crank handle
anti-clockwise until the canvas is fully taut.
•
After use, keep the crank handle and remote control out of reach of children.
•
Do not children play with the awning's remote control.
•
Beware, if you use the remote control to troubleshoot a breakdown when the awning is retracted,
there is a risk of the awning unravelling quickly and unexpectedly, due to the weakness or breakage
of the springs.
MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity of the awning and the safety of its users.
•
Check the condition of the wall brackets regularly and tighten if necessary.
•
Examine the crank loop every 6 months. If it is damaged, stop using it until it is replaced or repaired.
•
Check all the nuts and bolts on the frame once a year and tighten them if necessary.
•
Stop using the awning immediately if it is damaged or unstable.
•
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning products on the metal frame. Use a mild detergent diluted in
warm water and a soft, damp cloth.
•
Disconnect the awning from the mains before checking and maintaining its electric components.
•
Inspect the installation frequently for signs of cable wear or damage, do not use the awning if repair
is needed.
Please contact the seller with any questions or about any advice regarding repair. The moving elements of
the awning do not need to be lubricated. However, if needs be (in the event of any abnormal noise or diffi-
culties in opening), use a lubricant that is compatible with plastic materials. Do not use any petroleum-based
lubricants. Apply a lubricant spray using the straw provided. Lubricate the area around the roller tube drive.
Make sure not to get any lubricant on the canvas.
Cleaning the canvas: every 6 months with cold or warm soapy water. Do not use any chemical cleaning
products. Then leave the canvas to dry.
