Troubleshooting
Problem
The light will not come on.
The light comes on during
the day.
The light comes on for no
apparent reason.
The lights stay on
continuously.
The lights flash on and off.
Possible Cause
□
Batteries are dead.
□
Daylight turn-off (photocell) is in
effect.
□
Surrounding air temperature is
greater than 122° F (50° C) or less
than -4° F (-20° C).
The light fixture is mounted in a dark
location.
The motion sensor may be sensing
small animals, automobile traffic, or
other heat sources.
The motion sensor may be picking
up a heat source, such as an air vent,
dryer vent, or brightly painted, heat-
reflective surface.

The photocontrol may be sensing
shadows.
□
Heat is being reflected from other
objects and may be turning the
motion sensor on and off.
Solution
□
Replace the three "C" alkaline bat-
teries.
□
Recheck after dark.
□
Recheck when the surrounding air
temperature is within the specified
range.
Relocate the light fixture to an area that
receives more light.
Reposition the light so the motion sensor
is positioned away from the area of
movement.
Relocate the light fixture to an area away
from the heat source.
□
Relocate the light fixture to an area
away from shadows.
□
Relocate the light fixture to an area
away from the heat source.
