into the Car and Place the Child into the Child
Car Seat".
When not in use, the child car seat must al-
ways be secured, or stowed into the car's
boot with the seat inclination adjuster handle
completely inserted inside the lower part of
the seat. An unsecured child car seat may be
a source of danger in the event of an accident
or sudden braking
How to Adjust the Height of the headrest
The height of the headrest can be adjusted to
8-positions, to allow you to adjust the child
car seat in the best way, according to the
child's height. Ensure that the child's head is
positioned correctly and that the safety belt is
fastened correctly on its shoulder.
When adjusting the height of the headrest,
remember that the child's ears must not ex-
ceed the height of the headrest, and that the
clamp must be positioned just slightly over
the child's shoulders, in order to ensure that
the safety belt fi ts over the child's shoulder
correctly (diag. 17).
The adjustment operation may be more diffi -
cult if the child is sitting in the child car seat.
To adjust the headrest:
1. Press the lever located at the rear of the
headrest with one hand, whilst simultane-
ously using the other hand on the seat, as
shown in the diagram (diag. 18).
2. Raise/lower the headrest as necessary
(diag. 19).
3. Release the lever, and continue to raise/
lower the headrest, until a click is heard,
indicating that the headrest is locked into
the desired position.
How to Adjust the Width of the Backrest
The width of the child car seat's backrest can
be adjusted, allowing you to adapt the child
car seat to the size of your child's body.
The adjustment operation may be more diffi -
cult if the child is sitting in the child car seat.
To adjust the width of the backrest, turn the
handle, located at the rear of the child car
seat, with one hand:
• Turning the handle in a clockwise direction:
The side wings move away, and the back-
rest becomes wider (diag. 20).
• Turning the handle in an anti-clockwise
direction: The side wings move closer, and
the backrest becomes narrower (diag. 21).
How to Adjust the Inclination of the Back-
rest
The backrest of the child car seat is movable,
and it can be adjusted easily to the inclination
of the car seat (diag. 22).
The backrest of the child car seat can be ad-
justed to 3 positions, to allow the child to
travel in the most comfortable position.
Before carrying out any adjustment operations,
remove the child from the child car seat.
To recline the backrest:
1. Insert a fi nger into the slot on the seat as
seen in Fig. 23.
2. Press the button in the slot whilst pulling/
pushing the rear recline adjuster handle to the
desired position, as illustrated in Fig. 24. Each
click corresponds to one position change.
WARNING! On completing this operation,
make sure the recline adjuster handle is fi xed
fi rmly in place.
After carrying out the operations described
above, it is possible to fi t the child car seat
into the car, and then place the child onto
the child car seat, securing it correctly as de-
scribed above.
WARNING! and that it does not exercise
pressure on its neck; if necessary, lower the
headrest.
WARNING! Check that the car seat safety belt
adjuster is either in a backward position with
respect to the backrest of the car seat (or at
least aligned to it)(see diag. 5).
