6.1
Cleaning
Only use a soft cloth and neutral detergents to clean
the housing and display of the DCU 220. Do not use
abrasive cleaning agents and coarse workshop cloths!
6.2
Storage battery replacement
WARNING -- Danger of explosion when
charging the storage battery!
Burns and injury can be caused if the sto-
rage battery explodes from improper char-
ging!

Only use the batteries designated for
DCU 220.
¶
Only use the storage battery charging sta-
tion designated for DCU 220.
¶
Only use the power supply unit specified
for the DCU 220.
¶
Heed the notes on disposal.
¶
Storage battery must not be heated,
burnt, short-circuited, mechanically da-
maged and charged with excessively high
currents or reverse polarity!

Suitable extinguishing agents: water, CO
sand.

You can switch batteries while the computer is ope-
rating. However, if both of the batteries need to be
changed at the same time, the power supply unit
needs to be connected.
Open the cover for the storage battery (
or
on the right side) that you want to exchange.
1. Push the cover lock into unlocked position ( ) ().
2. Push the cover upward ().
3. Open the cover.

4. Pull on the ribbon to remove the storage battery
from the compartment.
5. Push the new storage battery completely into the
compartment with the labeling upward.

6. Push the storage battery lock all the way to the left
into locked position; make sure not to pull on the
ribbon.
7. Close the cover and push it downward until it locks
in place.
8. Then push the lock into locked position ( ).

The lock can only engage if the cover is snapped
in. The lock must be securely engaged so that the
bottom, red part cannot be seen.
6.3
Exchanging the hard disk
1. Switch off the DCU 220.
2. Disconnect the DCU 220 from the voltage supply.
3. Push the cover lock into unlocked position ( ) ().
4. Push the cover upward ().

5. Open the cover.
6. First pull the ribbon to the right and then forward
to remove the hard disk from the compartment.
7. Insert a new hard disk with the silver side up com-
pletely into the compartment until it locks in place.

8. Close the cover and push it downward until it locks
in place.
9. Then push the lock into locked position ( ).

The lock can only engage if the cover is snapped
in. The lock must be securely engaged so that the
bottom, red part cannot be seen.
