5. COMPONENT ADJUSTMENTS AND REPLACEMENT
A. FILL VALVE UNPLUGGING
Shut off the water supply.
Remove the fill valve arm assembly by rotating it 1/8 turn
counterclockwise.
Cover the uncapped valve unit with an inverted cup – hold
it firmly to prevent water overspray.
Turn the water on and off a few times to clear any debris.
Clean the seal surface of the seal diaphragm (located inside
of valve seat).
Replace the fill valve arm assembly by engaging the lugs
and rotating 1/8 turn clockwise.
Turn the water on.
B. FILL VALVE COMPONENT REMOVAL
Shut off the water supply.
Remove the refill tube from the valve.
If replacing the entire fill valve assembly, remove supply nut,
washer, and locknut from below tank.
To leave the hush tube in place and replace fill valve grasp
the blue coupling and turn counterclockwise 1/8 turn. Gently
pull the fill valve clear of the coupling.
C. FILL VALVE COMPONENT
REPLACEMENT
If the fill valve riser was left in place, carefully grasp the fill
valve body and hush tube, align it on the coupling, and rotate
the coupling clockwise 1/8 turn to fully engage it.
If installing the entire fill valve assembly, assemble locknut,
washer, and supply nut below tank.
Plug the refill tube with the tube restrictor into the valve.
Turn the water on. Test for proper operation.
