9. Electric connection (Fig. 10)
- The electric plant must be earthed
- First check that the supply voltage is that indicated on the data plate (Fig. 2)
- The cabinet must be protected upstream with an automatic omni polar magnetothermic switch with
adequate characteristics and will function also as the main line disconnecting switch.
- instruct the operator to the position of the switch so that it can be reached quickly in case of an
EMERGENCY.
- In order to guarantee correct functioning, it is necessary that the maximum voltage variation is
between +/- 6% of the nominal value.
- Check that the power line has appropriate section cables and that it is protected against over currents
and dispersions towards mass in compliance with existing laws in force.
- The installer must provide anchoring devices for all of the input and output cables of the cabinet.
- In the case that the power supply is interrupted, make sure that all the electric appliances of the shop
are capable of restarting without activating the overload protections. On the contrary, modify the plant
in order to differentiate the start up of various devices.
- The automatic magnetothermic switch must not open the circuit on neutral without opening it on
phases at the same time. In each case the opening distance of the contacts must be at least 3 mm.
N.B.All of these operations must be carried out by specialised technical staff.
10.Temperature check and adjustment (Fig. 5-Fig. 6)
The refrigerating temperature check is carried out by means of a mechanical thermometer (Rif. 5) loca-
ted on the suction plate or on the CAREL thermometer/thermostat display (OPTIONAL) located on the
front of the cabinet (Rif. 3).
Normally the controller is set in the factory during testing, but it is possible to alter programming. To do
so, please refer to the instructions given by the control device manufacturer.
ATTENTION!: An excessively low temperature adjustment could compromise the correct func-
tion of the cabinet altering the usual thermostatic pauses.
N.B.All of these operations must be carried out by specialised technical staff.
11.Loading the cabinet (Fig. 6)
When filling the cabinet the following rules must be observed:
- arrange the merchandise so that the maximum load line is not exceeded (Rif. 7); if this limit is
exceeded the correct air circulation is disturbed. Higher temperatures of the merchandise can create
ice on the evaporator;
- even disposition of the merchandise without empty areas, guarantees better function of the cabinet;
- it is recommended that old merchandise in the cabinet be used before a new entry (food products
rotation).
N.B.The refrigerated cabinet is used for preserving the temperature of the product displayed
and not for reducing it.
Food products must be introduced only if already cooled to their respective preservation tem-
peratures. DO NOT introduce products that have been heated.
12.Defrosting and water draining
- The Belgrado refrigerating cabinets line is equipped with an off cycle defrosting system, by stopping
the refrigeration cycle.
During the defrosting phase, the temperature of the product displayed is increased but does not
exceed the limits set by the Law. After defrosting, the plant quickly reaches the working temperature.
Draining of the water;
In order to evacuate the water after defrosting, it is necessary:
- to foresee a floor drain with slight inclination.
- to install a siphon between the drain pipe of the cabinet and the floor connection.
